I have just discovered that my husband is a jealous person. You'd think that after almost a year of marriage I would have caught that....
This weekend was rather eye opening - and disappointing.
My son plays football. His team has 3 coaches. One of the coaches reminds me of my ex-husband in almost every way. I have never mentioned that to anyone, so it doesn't seem as though that should be the cause of this little flare up. The head coach is not attractive, but he has incredible legs. :) Now that, I have mentioned.
Anyway, over the weekend there were several comments made about this one coach - the one that reminds me of Eddie. Comments like, "you always want to get to the games early, why?" or "why did you have to ask that coach to fix the chip strap? You could have asked the other ones." or the one that sent me over the edge "So why didn't you answer your phone? Were you busy visiting with your coach?"
That last one was all I could take. First of all, they aren't my coaches. Secondly, I have never "visited" with any of the coaches. I kind of read him the riot act for giving me a hard time about it. I asked him what his deal was with that one coach, and all he could say is "I don't know, he just seems "clingy"." I don't even know what to think about it - but I am seriously irritated over it. It probably seems like no big deal to most, but I have had enough of that crap from my first marriage to last a life time.
How do you deal with such a situation?
